Pecan Apple Crumb Pie

 

1/3 cup chopped pecans

1 deep dish 9-inch unbaked pie shell

6 cups Golden Delicious apples, peeled and sliced

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons flour

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3 tablespoons butter

 

 Crumb Topping

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/3 cup flour

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup chopped pecans

 

Sprinkle pecans in the pie shell. Mix the sugar, flour, nutmeg and

cinnamon, then add the apples. Place the mixture in the pie shell and

dot with butter. Blend crumb topping ingredients with fork until size of

peas; sprinkle over pie.

 

Bake 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
