New person/Question about home cleaning products

Hello everyone,

 

I go by the name of Goddess Faerie. I am a transitioning vegan, and while

there are a few stumbles here and there, they are becoming fewer and farther

between. I'm 34 and happily married. :-) I reside in the far north side of

Chicago.

 

My question about home cleaning products is this: are there any reasonably

priced brands of ready-made solutions out there that do the job well? My

specific needs are dishwasher detergenet and laundry detergent. I have

fibromyalgia and doing dishes by hand is very difficult for me. My husband

handles the pots and pans because they don't fit properly to clean well. As

for laundry, I have really sensitive skin so dye free and frangrence free is

a must. Even non-chlorine bleach is a problem (mainly because I can't find

one that's free of fragrance and dyes).

 

I don't mind making cleaning products from scratch, but we have limited

storage space in our apartment, and I have yet to find spray bottles that

last more than a few months before the trigger malfunctions. I am willing to

pay a little more for something IF it works well. However I don't have the

money to use the 'guess - n - by - gosh' method of finding the good stuff. I

am a net shopper so that's not a problem either.
