Guest guest
1 lb firm tofu 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast 1 Tbsp spike seasoning 1/8 to 1/4 tsp tumeric 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup oat bran (optional) Mash the tofu, add all the ingredients. Dump into a greased frying pan on medium heat and fry aprox 5-8 minutes stiring occasionaly so it does not cook unevenly. The oat bran will help give this a bit of a more " solid " texture so that you don't end up scraping little bits of tofu off your plate. Things to add to this are: peppers, onions, and salsa wrapped in a soft taco shell (cheese)? peppers, onions, veggy ham, & cheese, for a faux western omelet veggy sausage, homefries, cheese for a kewl casarole type of thingy or add what ever makes you happy, and remember this recipe is not set in stone (i am not moses) everything is to your own taste. At least that is what I believe ;-) on a side note I have taken tofu, cut out the center made it look like an egg yolk, (scramble recipe) put it back in, fried and used to make tofu benidict with fake canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce.
