We're *soooooo* official around my place, it's got the really fancy name " baked beans " LOL. I took a look in the files, and found it in the main dish section. I'll copy it below, so you don't have to hunt it down. Baked Beans 3 cups small white beans or more depending on the size of your crockpot. More is ok. I usually just use a full bag. 1 tsp salt or more to taste. 1/2 c chopped onion 1/4 c molasses 1 c ketchup 1/4 c brown sugar 2 tsp dry mustard Soaking the beans overnight helps speed cooking time, but isn't necessary. Put all ingredients in a crock-pot, mix well, and fill with water. Cook on low, stirring occasionally. Simmer until the beans are tender and the sauce has thickened. If the beans have not been soaked this takes at least 24 hrs, sometimes as long as 36, depending on the size and temperature of your crockpot. They're worth the wait. -- Sherri Somedays it's just not worth chewing through the restraints...
Guest guest
Thanks for hunting them down and reposting the recipe, Sherri. I don't know why I didn't place it in the crockpot slowcooker file! *lol* BTW, it is a great recipe. I love my crockpot. ~ PT ~ The pleasure of love is in loving.
