We're 22 years in. I am also a freelance writer/editor and I work out of the home. I envy you your long evening though. My DH leaves for work at 5:30 am and returns about 7:30 pm later in the summer when they are on the land. And he works 7 days a week year round. Hasn't had a holiday or even a sick day in 18 years. DH is a herdsman on a dairy farm and works hard labour all day in the spring summer and fall and in the winter they mostly just do chores and piddle around the barn. I love being at home. Although I have worked outside the home previous to marriage and occassionally while married, we are both happiest when I'm working from home.
