Guest guest
A quick note first--this is one of the best lists I've ever been a part of! It's very active, but most of what I see is definitely helpful. I made my first venture into making some of the lunch stuff (I take my lunch to work every day) this week--mushroom and cheese pockets. Unfortunately, my grocery store didn't have any pie crust and I had to use biscuits. It's probably the better choice since pie crust is pretty fattening. : ) The recipes that I see are great! I just need to get up off my hiney and try them. As for chapatis, I made them for my family and it was always a hit! They're very easy to make, although they take a little while(at least the recipe I had does). We ate them with rice and a golden gravy from The Farm cookbook. I'd be interested to find out if anyone else here knows about The Farm or has ties to it. : ) I was born there, and it's part of the reason I am a vegetarian. I am considering going vegan because of some of the posts here, but I'm not sure I'm ready to make that last step... I've never liked soy milk in the past, so I have a pretty strong prejudice against it! It's going to be hard to open my mind so that I can be nonjudgmental about the taste of soy cream cheese, milk, etc. Oh, and any other lifelong vegetarians here?
