I cheat and open a package, add water and stir. <grin> You can get gravy

mixes at your local health food store. I also use mushroom and onion soup mixes

to make gravy. I make them with soy milk instead of water and thicken them a

bit.

 

Here's one that is really easy, and brown, doesn't taste like a meat gravy or

anything though.

 

 

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons dry milk powder

1 cup water

 

Dissolve the cornstarch in the water in a small saucepan. Add all other

ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer till it is the correct

consistency.
