Extremists often bring it on themselves because they do stupid things without thinking - like raiding the mink farm and letting thousands of domestic mink loose. They honestly thought they were doing a wonderful thing while in fact they were sentencing the mink to death in many unpleasant ways. People hear about things like that and shake their heads thinking " idiots " what were they thinking? Personally I think PETA has done some really good stuff and some really stupid stuff. You just have to hope that in the long run, the good stuff outweighs the bad. I have had people ask me, when they found out that I was a vegetarian " You aren't associated with that crazy group at PETA are you? " They do however, have some great recipes, many of which I have tried and liked.
