I am a salt hound but have had to cut way, way back because of the high blood pressure. Now I only salt my fries as a special t reat. Guest guest
Well, I know everyone is talking about salty fries, but I am from the east coast where in the summer we used to eat lots of salt potatoes. Mmmmm. Nice thin-skinned small potatoes sold in bags with a load of salt. Dump it all in a big clampot kettle of boiling water and cook them until fork tender. Drain the potatoes and as they dry a sort of salty crust is left on the skin. You never needed any drawn butter or anything, just eat them hot or cold with your hands as you walk around the antique show.... big tall glass of iced tea half & half mixed with tart lemonade and it was heaven here on earth. ~ pt ~ One becomes free by accepting everything that life and death may bring. ~ Rodney Collin
