Guest guest
Oh I really really have to endorse this! My pet peeve. Of *course* they don't care if we eat the wretched things - they're just getting on a trendy bandwagon and trying to avoid nuisance lawsuits or whatever. As for so-called friends, my favourites are the ones who say come to **** [name your local me*t-pusher] with us, and you say that oh dear you'd love to *but* they don't serve anything suitable for vegetarians, and then your 'friends' say, condescendingly, 'Oh I'm sure they can find something for you - what about a lovely salad?' Yeah right - minus the bacon bits, cheese, rancid olive oil (what's wrong with good quality fresh olive oil? that too trendy?), recycled anchovies, etc. Trouble is, of course, that we don't have a veggie restaurant here - although some of the so-called Italian ones can do a fair job - if you can trust that red sauce and explain about the cheese. Sorry, gotta cut down on the caffeine ;=) Or increase it. Yeahhhh, let's go for that! Good morning, feralfriends ;=) Best, Pat > > > not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but BK doesnt really care if > people eat their veggie burger. it's definitely less profitable for > them then their heavily subsidized meat products and the only reason > that BK got it was to get PETA off their back for awhile. meat- > eaters are always insisting to me that all veggie burgers taste > awful, so the BK veggie conforms to the average fastfood customer's > expectations.
