hey heather,

 

well, basically, people are not formulae, so that calorie formula is meant as

a guideline; most people need to play with it somewhat. if you already know

what number works for you, that is what you should stick with.

 

i would definitely recommend that you start weight training 2-3 times per

week. every pound of muscle you gain burns 35-55 extra calories (it revs up

your metabolism). you should also try to find indoor cardiovascular activities

that you can do, such as jumping rope or climbing stairs; anything that gets
