Guest guest
Ok let me rephrase...isn't Applebees a 'meathouse' of sorts, lol. " But trying to have a meal with some drunk guys watching their hockey team (winning or losing, doesn't matter) is really irritating... " Yes yes I understand, but understand this......me and my sporting brethren become cavemen at times, but it's not ONLY the faults of our feebleness. These places hypnotize us with several boxes of moving pictures....then they provide us a comfortable place to be still and rest our dragging knuckles....on top of this they provide us with a bubbling water that makes us laugh and feel comfortable and make our hair coated bodies emit sounds that create an orchestra of sorts. And don't mind our furious grunts....we grunt at the people in the picture boxes because we know our lazy backsides could have caught that ball and sprinted 50 yards for the touchdown unlike that greatly skilled and tremendously fit warrior on the picture box. Dang we ARE irritating aren't we! lol Shawn ----Original Message Follows---- Alison Parker <ana_spryte Well, not exactly a steakhouse, although it is a feature there. But they also concentrate on burgers and spicy chicken things. Plus, they always have ahuge bar in the center of the place with TVs showing sports games. I am not anti-sports - I like watching baseball and football. But trying to have a meal with some drunk guys watching their hockey team (winning or losing, doesn't matter) is really irritating... Which is why, along with fast food, Applebee's is on my " generally avoid " list... I rarely eat out, really...I'm not very into or comfortable with food, especially in public places, but sometimes I do go out, and if I'm actually going to make that effort, I really want the experience to be as pleasant as possible, you know? Sure I'm not alone in that desire! _- matrixenos -_ <matrixenos wrote: Isn't Applebees a steakhouse of sorts....I wonder if that has anything to do with it. ~~blessed be~~ Alison, the ana-spryte Free online calendar with sync to Outlook.
