veggies: fresh/tinned/frozen

I think fresh is most often the best thing to buy. However, in some cases

frozen is better because as soon as the fresh veg is picked it is frozen and so

retains that freshness. So veg like peas, sweetcorn, green beans etc are

fresher and better for you if they're frozen. In a some of stores near me some

of the veg looks a bit dodgy anyway so if i need something specific and its

looking a bit brown i buy frozen.

I agree that frozen is fresher. definitely! I saw too much when I was

a trucker.......that " fresh " stuff is OLD! I would only consider " fresh "

produce to be *fresh* if [and only if] it came from a local farm.

 

As for [commercially] canned; too much sodium...I stay away from

it, if at all possible.
