Guest guest
I remember reading about an animal rights group that would go to stores and buy up the live lobsters and then release them back into the ocean. Not sure where they got the money to do that; probably really wealthy vegans. Aside from the animal rights issue, lobster fishing is also a human rights issue. I saw a 60minutes expose on the ills of Red Lobster's policy on where they buy the lobsters. The divers were usually very poor people that would be given mere pennies on the dollar and using faulty dive gear, thus eventually leading to a painful existance with crippling bends. Just aweful. ~ feral ~ Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. ~Kahlil Gibran, mystic, poet, and artist (1883-1931) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~~~~~> , " Sheryl " <ssarndt> wrote: this animal rights > group in Kansas City was boycotting the Whole Foods Market there > because they sold live lobsters.
