Rofl!

I don't mind cats at all, I simply don't find them to be " pets " because

they are anti-social and behave like vermin.

I'd have cats on a farm, you bet. But never in a house. (whew)

I'm envisioning, actually, the huge loss of birds, which are much more

susceptible to our pesticides and pollutants. Rachel Carson, Silent

Spring, all that.

If birds and small animals go, cats have no food source.

If they have evolved themselves into a bottleneck of " needing " meat, then

they'll go extinct.

Simple.

I certainly avoid supporting the meat industry any and every time I can.

Make me aware of an instance in which I'm inadvertently supporting them,

and I will immediately choose to change things so I am not.

Don't come to my house then, as I have two indoor cats.

Leather shoes, omega fish oils, any eggs or egg products,

and anything with dairy. Like it or not, lacto-ovo vegetarians

do in a round about way support the meat industry. I am

a lacto-ovo vegetarian, and I know this full well.

Unless one is a pure vegan in every way, it is very difficult

to not support the meat industry in some small way; even

then you have to be extremely careful and things surely slip

by unnoticed.
