Guest guest
Unless your margarine specifies that it does NOT contain trans-fatty acids, (hydrogenated oils), then it most certainly does, and you're quite right, they're lethal. They solidify in the bloodstream and clog arteries, basically. And they're put in EVERYTHING, so read carefully and try to minimize all " trans-fatty acids " or " hydrogenated " or " partially-hydrogenated " oils in foods you eat. They use them for mouth texture and binding agents, mostly, by the way. Has nothing to do with flavor, more to do with the food " experience " . I use Natu-Col and it's excellent, with no trans-fatty acids. http://www. earthbalance.net/ On Sunday, June 1, 2003, at 03:45 AM, wrote: > Message: 16 > Sun, 1 Jun 2003 01:22:48 -0700 (PDT) > starfrog <starfrog1969 > Re: Re: Oreo cookies and food labels > > What's got me hot under the collar about oreo's (my FAVE by the way) is > not the potential of animal fat- but apparently the little buggers are > loaded with trans fat.
