There is a lot of talk on this list about ADD and

depression and stuff. Now, don't shoot me, BUT I

too have been depressed, yet the BEST thing I did

for myself was to flush my meds (that I resisted

being prescribed in the first place) and take

charge of my life and get out of the house and

make up my mind that it was not going to rule my

life. I also stopped seeing my therapist since

he was the one pushing the meds on me. I am a

firm believer in seeing a therapist. I also

believe that meds can be a fix for some people.

I don't think that people should use meds and

therapists as a crutch, though. Just my opinion.

Anyway, the reason that I am posting this is

because I have heard of a phenomenon called

" Indigo Children " . Has anyone else heard about

this? Here is a link to a book called " The Care

and Feeding of Indigo Children "

on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1561708461/ref=pd_sim_books_3/102-\

0249727-6389744?v=glance & s=books

and here is a quote from Amazon's website about

the book: " Doreen explores the psyche of these

special kids and offers alternative solutions to

Ritalin based on her extensive research and

interviews with child-care experts, teachers,

parents, and the Indigo Children themselves. Read

the accounts of these remarkable children as they

explain why they act-out, are aggressive or

withdrawn; and what they want from the adults in

their lives " Anyway, it sounds as though some of

the children of members of this list could fall

within this category. Just my $.02 Good luck.
