Guest guest
A cattle truck over-turned yesterday on I-80 just over the Iowa border. Cows were killed, but not all of them. Some politely stayed right there by the wreck. Others, hurt and panicked, scattered. State troopers on the news were bragging and having a grand old time shooting these cattle to death. They just loved it, and one cop said, " Well, they was headed to slaughter anyway, they just got slaughtered a little sooner than they thought, ha ha. " And yes, he laughed about it. Stupid bastards. The news anchors thought it a delightful story, very funny and light-hearted. What is WRONG with people?\\ Anyone here who's seen ABOUT SCHMIDT with Jack Nicholson should recall the cattle-to-slaughter motif and how they used it to emphasize the empty, sick lives being led by those Huskers. Boy is that accurate. " In the 19th century, the Republican Party was defined by region. It was the North against the South. In the 20th century, it became a party defined by class — the white-collar middle class as opposed to the poor and the metropolitan rich. Under George W. Bush, the party in the 21st century is on its way to becoming a party defined by faith. " --David Frum, Presidential speech writer, on NY TIMES op-ed page, 5 Jan. 2003 " Theocracy unmasked. Guest guest
It's bad enough that some of them were hurt and had to put down. But for the police to enjoy doing it. That's horrible!! I couldn't even kill and ant intentionally. They have a right to live too.
