Guest guest
Next time I hope to have some of my own garden beans in the dish. I found this recipe in a magazine, but added some garlic and used a vegan margarine. Came out delicious. Mixed Beans with Lime Butter 1/2 pound each fresh green and wax beans, trimmed 2 Tbs soy margarine 2 tsp snipped fresh dill 2 tsp lime juice 1 tsp grated lime peel 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Place beans in a saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Melt butter in a skillet; add the dill, lime juice and peel, garlic powder, salt, pepper and beans. Stir to coat and cook until heated through. Yield: 4 servings ~ PT ~ Nothing is easier than self-deceit.
