Guest guest
If you like strawberry-rhubarb pie you will love this. It is just wonderful served on warm biscuits or, as a treat, dollop a bit on your morning oatmeal. Strawberry Rhubarb Compote 1/2 cup water 5 cups chopped fresh or frozen rhubarb 2 to 4 Tbs sugar 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved 1/8 tsp ground ginger In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add rhubarb and sugar. Cook for 5 to 10minutes or until rhubarb is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove the rhubarb from the heat; stir in strawberries and ginger. Serve warm or cold. Yield: 6 servings ~ PT ~ Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why should I fear that which cannot exist when I do? ~Epicurus, philosopher (c.341-270 BCE)
