Guest guest Posted May 11, 2003 Report Share Posted May 11, 2003 My eldest son is a Vegan who avoids honey on ethical grounds, in that he feels honey farms exploit bees for profit, which is quite true. However, he's never claimed bees are harmed and, as I've pointed out, rather than being literal about his observances, he needs to be compassionate and realize that bees would make it anyway, and are not boxed, or confined, or given hormones, or any of the other evils that make, say, eggs so questionable ethically to support. So yes, good point, honey is one choice each of us must make for ourselves.
