tofu vs straight soy products, what do you like better and why?

ok I been a vegetarian over 14 years as I've said before and since

most of us use soy products for a large source I thought I ask you

what you like better between tofu and the whole bean meaning possibly

stuff like edame(green soybeans), textured soy protein, and tempeh

amongst things like that. I personally like the whole bean better for

many reasons like the tsp absorbs flavoring really well and edame is

the whole bean with all the fiber and nutrients. I kind of have a

like/dislike feeling about tofu. one thing I do not like about tofu

is for some reasons it actually slows down my bowels,not fully

constipating me but definitly slowing things down, I notice this

especially with tofu hot dogs and btw most tofu dogs are very tasting

and very addicting and I can easily eat up a whole package quickly

lol they are so good especially NOT DOGS which unfortunately I cant

seem to find anywhere anymore. I also notice that hard solid tofu

does this to me too. sorry if I grossed anyone out. dont get me

wrong many tofu products taste good and tofu is great in stir frys

and I do notice if enough veggies are used it offsets the other

effects. so basically I'd like to see what some of you like better

between the 2 basic soy sources tofu or whole bean products stay cool
