Guest guest
Thank you for taking the time to contact Veat, Inc. and Van's International Foods. We are always interested in hearing from our consumers and appreciate knowing their reactions to our products. Unfortunately, I have to say that Veat is NOT 'Vegan'. This is due to the fact that Veat contains 'Whey Protein', which is a derivative of dairy. The 'Whey Protein' is a binding agent for the soy and we have been researching alternative products as a substitute. However, we have had little to no success in finding an acceptable replacement to the 'Whey Protein'. I do not know if we will be able to remove the ingredient. I am sorry to be the bearer of the bad news for the eldest son and I am sorry that we may not be able to keep everyone as a Veat consumer. Thank you for the interest in our products and the opportunity to be of service. Sincerely, Mark A. I notice on the ingredients list that " whey protein " is mentioned, and was told by some that this is an animal by-product, from milk. I was also told it might be a soy milk by-product, so I thought I'd write and ask. Are any of your Veat products Vegan, meaning: Are any Veat products made with no animal or dairy by-products? Very curious to learn this. As for the rest of my family, we are lacto-ovo vegetarians and will continue to enjoy the wonderful things you make. Your attention's appreciated.
