Guest guest
Here is another poppy seed dressing recipe I've tried. I think it comes from Mary Ellen's Tea Room in Dallas, Texas; found it in a cookbook myself that gave credit for the recipe to that place. It is wonderful served as a dressing on fruit. Poppy Seed Dressing II 2 cups sugar 3/4 tsp salt 3/4 tsp onion powder 3/4 tsp ground mustard 3/4 cup vinegar 1 cup vegetable oil 3/4 tsp poppy seeds In a mixing bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Add the vinegar and beat for 4 minutes. Add the oil; stir and beat for ten minutes. Add poppy seeds and blend well. Yield: 2 3/4 cups dressing
