There are good fats, (mono- and poly-unsaturated), and bad ones, (saturated, from meats, which also contain cholesterol, as does most dairy) .. The good ones actually help lower the bad numbers and boost the good ones, so don't be afraid of, say, olive or peanut oil, etc. Popularity?
