Guest guest
On the topic of kid-friendly foods I have to say that most everything I make and the recipes I share are kid friendly; at least to my kids. But I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old, so their tastes might differ from younger children's. When I put onions or peppers in a food I chop them to a small mince so they can't pick them out or notice them so much, but with mushrooms (which both my kids loath) I leave big enough for them to remove, and if I am lucky, they will hand them over to me. *lol* I do make new things weekly, or try one or two new recipes, and my kids like giving me their reviews. They know I am going to mention it here, so I am sure to ask their " expert " opinion. If they like the recipe, we put it in a computer folder on my desktop to be rotated back into our menu planning. If they don't like it so much, we leave it out of the main rotation. Meschelle, I think it is wonderful that your son currently eats everything you set before him. That is great! I hope he continues right on through those more challenging toddler years as well. Also, congratulations on the new baby. My eldest is an October child, and the only set back to that was having to go through those hot humid summer months during my last trimester. Keep the AC on! *lol* I wish you all the best. Anyway, this is a great topic and I hope more will share how they make mealtime in their homes kid friendly. I know I would appreciate reading some ideas. ~ PT ~ A good heart is better than all the heads in the world. ~Edward Bulwer-Lytton, writer (1803-1873)
