You're more at risk from carcinogens in the charcoal and on charred fat

and meat than you are from aluminum, which doesn't build up in the brain

the way some fear or claim from ordinary use in cooking, pans, foil, etc.

I take it you are downplaying the situation and that I shouldn't place

myself and a lit grill in a small enclosed area.

 

Just out of curiousity, what about the idea of grilling on a gas grill using

wood chips in a steaming bowl of water for flavor. Perhaps this depends on

what types of chips are purchased and from who.

 

I'm just curious because I might be getting a new grill this weekend, and I

am wondering what direction to go.

 

I've heard that if you get a barrell grill, you need to make sure where it

is coming from (the barrell that is) and if it has been used in the past.
