You're very welcome to any I send through on this list - it'd be nice to be on the acknowledgements list, of course, but hardly required ;=) And good luck with it all ;=) best, pat sant -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
And I see PT is of a similar mind. So hey, we're all happy now, right? BTW, 'harvesting' recipes isn't like harvesting organs, ya know. best, pat sant -- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace. Guest guest
Exactly! It takes way more work to put together a book that will sell than just copying recipes off a e-group. No publisher will give it the time of day, quite likely, and I don't know anyone who gained fame and fortune from writing a vegetarian recipe book. Usually the fame and fortune has to come first before the cookbook will even have a chance of selling .... example: Linda McCartney, who was already well-known for other things and thus helped the success and increased public interest in her cookbooks. You either have to be a TV chef, well-known for something else, or a famous restaurant owner to make it in the already glutted market of cookbooks. One might have a greater chance of getting rich playing the lottery. Bottom line folks, don't let this vague accusation of supposed " harvesting " scare you off from sharing your recipes with us here. There is no danger of somebody profiting from your hard work or efforts.... only Uncle Sam holds sure claim to that...
