Anyone else on Phase 1?

I've been having problems with C. Difficile and Candida Albicans (as well as

intestinal and other issues that stem from these nasties) so I decided to go on

the Phase 1 diet after I got back from vacation on a cruise ship. The

vegan/non-grain options were great on the boat and I was able to stay mostly raw

- except some lightly sauteed vegetables occasionally, some rice (white - bad!)

and potato chips (might as well have just eaten a bag of sugar). I didn't eat

them every day or every meal, but a week of cheating sure started to show

itself. I started the Phase 1 diet on Sunday and have been experiencing some

serious herx die off (fever, joint pain, nausea, etc.). It is taking a lot of

will power to forgo the morning fruit smoothie! I've noticed that food just

doesn't sound good, my digestion has actually slowed down, and to put it

bluntly, I feel like crap. I could really use some encouragement to keep me

going through the next couple of weeks.

 

For those of you who were/are on Phase 1:

What are your favorite recipes that are compliant?

Does it get easier after the first week?

 

Sorry to be a whiner! I am determined to do what it takes to feel better, but

lasting the full 3 months right now is looking bleak. When I googled the diet,

my findings were not inspiring, so I hope someone has a success story!
