And it all can be made without boiling water or turning on the oven, for those following a raw food diet. The premise, devotees say, is simple. Eating uncooked food is better for digestion, boosts energy and contributes to overall health, and going on the diet takes no special equipment or exotic ingredients, just what can be found at the grocery store and a food processor or blender. Crown Point resident Carolyn Rodgers, certified as a raw food teacher and chef by the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, Calif., got into raw food many years ago for health reasons.
