By Gina Kim, Sacramento Bee January 13, 2010 Raw foodists believe uncooked diet improves health In the narrow stretch of kitchen in the back of the Art of Food cafe in Sacramento, Calif., one appliance is boldly missing -- the stove. " This is our stove, " said chef Richard Hemsley, pointing to two dehydrators. The " living cafe and tonic bar " goes beyond vegan food -- food without animal ingredients or animal byproducts -- by never heating dishes beyond 105 degrees. The only exception is tea.
