Guest guest
Hi All, Pecan season is here and I will be ordering in the near future. These pecans are organically grown on a family property (not really a farm, they just have a few trees) in West Texas, sun-dried, hand harvested and hand shelled by the family members and shipped to me within days of shelling. When I receive them, I double bag them and keep them in refrigeration. Last year I just placed a bulk order and had them on hand to sell throughout the year but this year I'm short of refrigeration space so I'm going to have to only order what I can sell and store. These particular pecans are small and sweet. The price is $12/lb. Minimum order 3 pounds (but if you want almonds and/or walnuts as well, you can mix and match). After Thanksgiving I'll also have the larger shelled pecans from a small organic producer in Northern California, for the same price ($12/lb.) I hope to be harvesting English walnuts in Eastern Washington in the next couple weeks as well, and will have California English walnuts (Chandler variety) after Thanksgiving. Like the pecans, these are organically grown, sun-dried, hand-harvested, hand-shelled, and completely unprocessed. $8/lb, minimum 3 lbs. Also, I still have lots of unpasteurized, certified organic almonds, $9/lb, $8.50/lb for over 20 pounds. If you eat nuts, it is very important to buy them during the season and store them yourself (in refrigeration), so you can be assured of their maximum digestibility. Nuts that are sold in stores are dried at high temperatures (even the ones in the shell), stored at temperatures warm enough to cause rancidity, and there is no guarantee that you're even getting the most recent harvest. Please email me privately if you have questions or would like to order. Thanks and best wishes, Nora nmlenz
