Guest guest
I attended the McDermott Town Hall on Tuesday evening on the health care issue. According to Meany Hall staff there were around 970 people there. I walked up and down the line of people waiting to enter before doors opened and I didn't see one familiar face... There will be a major rally of both sides of the debate THIS Thursday, 9/3 from 5-7pm at Westlake Park. Yes, healthcare does need to be reformed! We need to stop debating the process (who pays, etc.) and debate the REAL issue, Method! (type of care). As with ANY issue until the focus is on these three principals true health care reform will not happen! 1. Personal Responsibility - As Dr. Mark Hyman urges we need to be " The CEO of our own health. " 2. Freedom Of Choice - Based on accurate info! A GREAT source is <http://www.hacres.com/> www.hacres.com 3. Incentives Based On Desired Outcome(s) - In this case wellness. Unless an accident occurs, one won't need it if one does the first two and stays well! Feel free to make signs accordingly! Signs matter! There are unhealthy, misinformed, well-intentioned folks on both sides. Let's enlighten them!
