Guest guest
R u crazy or a cow or something? Seriously-this is what I am asked... asking if my husband fathered my babies would be less insulting. Well, somewhat. I am new to the group, a long-time vegan converting to raw foodist for the last month (100% and loving it). Other things that I hear are the following: Oh, and how did I have enough breastmilk to nurse three babies (well, not at once) as a vegan... I have three kids, a hubby, and loved dog. The vegan / raw foodist change hasn't a big change for me - I ate " living foods/natural hygeniene diet " for years, too. I am having some trouble finding support.. eating out, navigating the grocery store, supplies, books, even are the organic dried apples at Harris Teeter raw? 114 degrees and unsulfurated? Happy to be here.. glad to have friends.. not many vegans or raw foodists in Culpeper, VA... IHOP doesn't serve a ton of living foods... as dead as it gets... So, any ideas on places to get the Excaliber, do you love the Vita-Mix Super 5000 (now 5200)? Worth getting from the site or a discount place? When do you trust that dried foods are raw and dried? A million questions.. and yes, some will say, " When I do it myself. " So, what do I need NOW - what did you read first - any other thoughts on my area and groups? Thanks and so glad to have found you! Sam
Guest guest
Hi Sam, Welcome to the group! We have one member on this list, Nick, who moved to West Virginia. Not quite a neighbor for you, but he may have some advice for you. I have purchased from http://discountjuicers.com/ in the past. I believe I bought one of my dehydrators there. I'd normally say to watch Craigslist, but you're likely to not see many used Excaliburs in your area, though it may be worth watching. When you travel to the " big city " you can look at Craigs list prior to your trip. Jeff
