This was one of my favorite retreats and I'd strongly encourage anybody who is looking for a laid back, quiet, intimate, up-close and personal retreat experience, this would be the one. We are just days away from the Raw & Living Spirit Retreat, and hope that everyone who is wanting to come this year has been able to sign up. If you are still considering the Retreat and just haven't been able to make your final decision... or if you know someone who might benefit from the Retreat, but who hasn't been able to take that final leap, read on! The menu for the Retreat has now been posted to our website for your anticipatory salivation! I'm getting hungry just writing about it! http://www.rawandlivingspirit.org/?page_id=3 Kevin Gianni of Renegade Health interviewed me over the phone about the Retreat. The 12- minute mp3 file is available for listening on the website. Our schedule wasn't finalized at the time of the interview, so there are a few errors regarding that, but the interview is other- wise a nice overview of what can be expected at the Retreat. Check it out! http://www.rawandlivingspirit.org/ We are coordinating transportation to the Retreat for local and distant folks alike, so if you are thinking about coming, please sign up as soon as you can so that we can add you to our transportation lists. We need more volunteers! Our primary need is on the dishwashing and transportation teams. The Retreat offers a $100 rebate at the end of the Retreat for volunteers who fulfill their work commitments, and can offer a $195 rebate to a few volunteers who are able to make a larger commitment of time. If you know of anyone who would like to attend the Retreat but is having a financial obstacle to signing up, please invite them to contact Rylee Keys (rylee.k) to discuss how they might be able to participate as a volunteer. The weather is going to be phenomenal! The forecast is for sunny, 80-degree weather and just under 60-degree lows at night. Perfect camping weather (we also have beds indoors), and it's going to be a wonderful long weekend in the Oregon summer. The swimming hole will probably see some actual swimmers this year (it hasn't always been warm enough...)! We've also got lots of cooling evergreen tree shade, so it'll be the best of both worlds! We hope to see you with us in a few days. Wherever you are during that time, be good to yourself and enjoy your community! -Brion http://www.rawandlivingspirit.org/
