Guest guest
Good morning, I'm growing tomatoes in a wet environment and finding a problem with rot and fungus. I've been picking them before they get red/black and ripening them in the window. I have 2 questions... 1) How much nutritional value am I losing by picking them early (Brix count or however you measure it)? 2) Is there an easy way to prevent the fungus and scarring. I've heard that co-planting marigolds helps in some ways, is this one of them? These things taste awesome by the way. I planted in last year's fruit peel compost, I think that's why they're so sweet. Thanks. Nick
