I wrote this as so many people mistakenly assume it costs more to eat healthy. It does NOT and should even cost less! It should not only cost less, but take less time and taste better IF done right. Organic food MAY cost more (not always), but it is higher in nutritional value so you will be full with less! So you actually save $! 1. Fasting-If one fasts one day per week that alone will reduce food costs 15%! 2. Gardening & Sprouting-Just happens to be the most healthy AND the least expensive! When doing either use ONLY organic seeds! 3. Vegetables & Beans-For store bought food they also are healthiest & least expensive! 4. Organic Food-One will consume less resulting in smaller portions as you will be satisfied since the body will recognize the higher nutritional content of organic food. 5. Chewing thoroughly & eating slowly-As the old saying goes, " chew your liquids & drink your food! " By doing that along with eating slower you will digest better & consume less. 6. Reduce or eliminate animal sources-Animal source foods are the most expensive and by reducing or eliminating them a considerable amount can be saved. As is stated in the " TBOGH! " ONLY consume animal products IF they are the way God intended (see " TBOGH! " info to obtain below) and limit to 3-6 animal portions week/under 5% of caloric intake (Proverbs 23:20). 7. Reduce or eliminate grains-Attempts to reduce " Global Warming " have greatly increased grain prices. 8. Bargain-When shopping at Farmers Markets bargain with the farmers (when nobody can hear you). 9. Freggies.com-Organic produce you SELECT! NOT a CSA! 10. Other ways-Of course there are MANY other non-health related ways of eating healthy & inexpensively such as not/reducing eating out, eating food the way God made it, not the way humans have altered it, using coupons, buying wholesale/in quantity, eating seasonally, etc. etc. For this article use this link http://www.mercola.com/2005/feb/16/organic_food.htm " Your Family Could Be Eating Organic Food for the Same Price as Processed Foods -- or Less " http://www.mercola.com/2006/aug/17/how_to_get_inexpensive_organic_locally-gr own_vegetables.htm " How to get locally grown, inexpensive organic vegetables.
