Guest guest
I am curious how people are storing their greens.? I don't care for the plastic produce bags and my cotton bags cause them to wilt too quickly.? Tried the green " plastic " bags but they only are to be used temporarily.? I recently bought some big " Sterlite " (least odorous) plastic tubs to try for storage.? Large glass containers just don't seem to exist.?? Is there any leaching of toxins from the plastic in a non-heated state? Thank you, Suzanne

Guest guest
I just researched this yesterday ! I dont remember the site but some plastic storage containers were and some were not toxic (supposidly not) It said Rubbermaid food storage containers were ok. I saw glass storage containers at The Container store in Bellevue, kinda pricy, had plastic lids. I saw Jeff Rogers with one the other day. I have a friend that shops every Friday, he puts every thing in a cloth bag, when he gets home he washes it in vegetable wash then puts them glass storage bins inside his frige with lids...he also keeps 3 or 4 ethelene gas eggs in the fridge. Says his greens keep very well this way. this is what my goal is. Catherine 4:22 PM Greens storage? I am curious how people are storing their greens.?
