Guest guest
HI Suzanne, If she's been having a lot of citrus have her cut back on that. I was drinking lemon water for awhile when I first went raw and my teeth got super sensitive. As soon as I cut out the citrus the pain went away. Also, lots of fruit is great! Just have her brush her teeth or at least rinse her mouth out with water very well after every time she eats. Have a lovely day! However, she has been experiencing a sensitivity on just one lower front tooth (side facing lip) when drinking or eating.? Warm water doesn't cause a problem.? She did just have a cleaning and xrays at the dentist.? Has not had a sensitivity for many years.? She does have a permanent retainer on the bottom teeth added after her removal of braces 3 yrs. ago.? Just wanted to know if this might have something to do with raw diet.? She eats alot of fruit. Thanks, Suzanne
Guest guest
Suzanne/Audrey I have heard not to brush the teeth after citrus/acidic foods. Just rinse with alkaline water. I keep a cup of water with baking soda in it handy. Also if drinking lemonade or juice , use straw. C - " Audrey Walker " <chilove88 Wednesday, June 24, 2009 12:58 PM RE: tender teeth?? Guest guest
Suzanne: One suggestion: Many peoples teeth spread apart after going raw.? I was having some pain in my teeth and when someone suggested I stop wearing my night retainer the pain went away.? She can try that for a few days and see if it works.? She might then wait a few months more on raw and then get fitted for a new retainer. Bless you both as it is helpful to have family support.
