Guest guest
Come Foraging with Samantha Lewis Samantha Lewis has a passion for the spirit of life that exists within plants. She grew up in our local parks and forests, where she spent many days in the woods - climbing trees, watching animals, journaling and wandering. She is a self-taught naturalist who has a long term relationship with Wilderness Awareness School, both as a student and an instructor, and has hundreds of hours of Kamana training and extensive wilderness study. Her keen observations and natural sensitivity bring a unique intensity to her Nature Mentoring programs. Samantha resonates with the philosophy of " Take what Nature has in abundance " , and loves sharing ways to make the most use of plants that present themselves in the greatest number. She helps her students build a more functional understanding of our wild plant food resources and sustainable eating opportunities. This class is an introduction to the wonderful world of foraging for wild edibles here in the Pacific Northwest. We will meet at a location near Raw Vegan Source and do a short hike, learning about wild edibles as we go. Bring a notepad, clothing for potential rain, lunch and snacks, and an eager mind ready to learn. Sunday, May 24th, 2009 Time: 9 am to 1 pm $55 Reservations at: www.rawvegansource.com Presented by: RawVegan Source 22336 NE 85th St. Redmond, WA 98053

Guest guest
I wonder if Samantha knows of anyone who can lead foraging walks in Palm Beach County, Florida? I'm moving to that area and would love to go on some! Judy Pokras vegwriter http://Green-Advertising.blogspot.com Specializing in promoting raw vegan and other green businesses.
