Guest guest
Since starting my transition to whole organic foods, vegetarian, vegan, and eventually raw foods, it has become very clear to me that disease is not as much about external things, as it was about the cleanliness and health of my own body (the host.) I recognize that an unhealthy body is a much better host for disease. The cure for disease is actually the prevention; a clean body through a clean organic plant- based diet (with, of course, clean air, sunshine, and exercise). The focus should be on what is bringing about disease, instead of chasing the symptoms while supporting the causes (the word " futility " comes to mind). I heard on the news today that there were 651 cases of humans with confirmed cases of swine flu. That was worldwide (they mentioned a specific number of countries, which I did not catch). Out of 6.5 billion people, that is about .00001% of the world population. Granted there may be unreported cases, but, as Elchanan pointed out, the cases don't seem to justify the fear and panic in the media (and other areas, like the school systems). Anyway, here are links to a a couple videos. Jane Velez-Mitchell interviews Dr. Michael Greger (both are vegans) for CNN Headline News (HLN) regarding swine flu. Velez-Mitchell has a second video on that page with Jane Garrison. http://www.vegsource.com/articles2/media_swine_flu1.htm Jeff
