Great post, Mark!! I'd like to elaborate upon your closing comment:

>> Maybe if we want more nutrients we should exercise a little more. Then

we can eat more nutrient-rich food without gaining unwanted weight.

This is exactly correct ... by which I mean it is mathematically correct. I

actually wrote an article some time ago where I derived a formula people

could use to project exercise and calorie levels. (You don't need my article

to comprehend the idea. :):)

Suppose your " typical " energy consumption is 1800 calories/day without

exercise. That means you consume so much carbohydrate, protein, fat,

vitamins, etc. Now suppose you increase your activity level so that your

energy consumption becomes, say, 2200 calories/day. You add 400 calories/day

of additional food. THAT is how we increase our nutrient consumption, that

is how we ensure ourselves sufficient protein and the like. And it is how we

fully load our system with water.

Further, in the process, we expand our lung capacity, which improves both

our cleansing (exhalation) and our oxygenation (inhalation). And if we are

outdoors, then we increase our connection with Nature and our immersion in

daylight, fresh air, etc.

Make sense?

Facts #2

Hi Jim,

You seem so sure of yourself. Juicing is " essential for optimal health, "

" best dietary way for optimum health. " You don't sell juicers by chance, do

you? :-)

Believe me, I've drunk a lot of juice. I have owned several juicers. One

of them I paid $1,900 for!

But I no longer believe that juicing is necessary for good health. The

study of Natural Hygiene has helped me with this, but also just plain common

sense. I kept looking at all that food I was throwing away. And I wondered

if my $1900 juicer and I were really smarter than Mother Nature.

Maybe there is a REASON for all that fiber.

Maybe we aren't supposed to get a concentrated dose of nutrients in the form

of fiberless juice.

Maybe we aren't supposed to drink some kind of dehydrated powder to make up

for the times we fail to drink our fiberless juice.

Maybe people with digestive problems can learn to eat the whole food, by

paying close attention to food combining and a few other basics.

Maybe if we want more nutrients we should exercise a little more. Then we

can eat more nutrient-rich food without gaining unwanted weight.

Just a few maybes to consider.

Mark
