Guest guest
Catherine, I appreciate your bringing this up. You did see what you saw ... and you didn't understand how to observe it. Here's what I mean: I have also seen people reverse this and that disease ... using more than one approach. What ALL these approaches share in common is removal of the " bad stuff " . What few people seem to realize is this: It's not so much what we begin eating that allows us to create health. Rather, it's what we STOP eating that makes all the difference. This is why fasting on water alone produces the fastest, deepest cleansing and restoration of any approach available (far more so than juicing). Ingesting and digesting the fiber is not a burden at all, with certain exceptions. This is a misconception. Actually, the fiber considerably improves not only the digestion, but particularly the absorption. For example, sugar absorption in the presence of fiber proceeds at a much more orderly pace than in its absence ... this matters!! The act of chewing (not pseudo-chewing a smoothie or juice) also the entire digestive process. The simple reality is that food travels through the digestive system at a speed commensurate with its content (protein, fats, carbs, combinations) and its consistency (viscosity). When you reduce a food to little more than a liquid, that food travels through the digestive system are roughly the speed of water, and absorption is reduced in corresponding proportion. You make up for it by loading in massive amounts of the food being juiced (already posted by another here yesterday), but this is not an improvement, it does nothing other than to increase your grocery bill. Further, when you juice, you remove more than fiber, you disrupt the structure of the food, and you accelerate oxidation. There is no " undo " command for such disruption. Please understand, it is not my intent here to be " against juicing " . Rather, my intent is to be for whole foods, for chewing our food, for allowing the entire digestive system, from lips to the end, to do the job for which it is so brilliantly designed. Hope this helps clarify. Elchanan PS: In general, health is not the outcome of luck. E _____ Catherine Sunday, December 07, 2008 10:54 PM Re: RE: Article: What's the deal with juicing?/The Facts Elchanan, I have personally seen colon/prostate/blood cancers reversed with the help of juicing. The point of juicing is to easily absorb the nutrients without having to digest the fiber to give the body a rest and let the liver do its job to rid the body of stored toxins. Juicing is used also instead of taking vitamins in a capsule form from depleated soils. Thank god you are in such a healthy state you could not even emagine why someone would do it, everyone should be so lucky. Guest guest
Elchanan, Thanks for bringing up this discussion. My own catchy little phrase to get this is across to people is " We don't need a cure if we stop taking the cause. Guest guest
Elchanon, Yes I do know how to observe it. The people who I spoke of DID change their ways of eating and lifestyle 'but' not until they were given a death sentence did they seek the answers. Juicing in serious cases reverses the situation much quicker for those who dont have time to waste, say for instance a blocked colon, or cant eat very much. I never said I was against chewing and fiber LOL C - Nick Hein Tuesday, December 09, 2008 4:47 AM Re: Juicing Notes (WAS: Article: What's the deal with juicing?/The Facts) Elchanan, Thanks for bringing up this discussion.
