Guest guest
I realize there are people who teach these things, and you are surely free to believe whatever you wish to believe. But the notion that juicing supersedes eating whole foods really is nonsense. The notion that removing nearly 100% of the fiber, as opposed to literally 100%, matters not. Once you fractionate the food, it loses much value. Now, to be sure, eating a liquid diet of juiced fruits and/or vegetables is still superior, far superior, to eating what most people eat. But the notion that you can improve upon Nature's design in this way is just not so. Juicing is not " positively altering food " , it is merely altering food. To believe otherwise is to say that you have improved upon Nature's design by pulverizing the food and discarding a large portion of it. Further, juicing is not essential. Nothing _in particular_ is essential. No form of eating reduces nonfood-induced stress. Only dealing with the cause(s) of the stress addresses the stress. There are no magic bullets. And your notion of eating more is also not true, not at all, in fact. Those of us who live (almost) entirely on fruits and greens consume more fruits than most people can imagine, juicers included. But we consume these as whole foods, we chew our foods and benefit greatly from doing so, we digest at the speed we are designed to digest and not at the sped at which water flows, and so forth. Guest guest
Elchanan, I have personally seen colon/prostate/blood cancers reversed with the help of juicing. The point of juicing is to easily absorb the nutrients without having to digest the fiber to give the body a rest and let the liver do its job to rid the body of stored toxins. Juicing is used also instead of taking vitamins in a capsule form from depleated soils. Thank god you are in such a healthy state you could not even emagine why someone would do it, everyone should be so lucky. Many blessings Catherine - Elchanan Sunday, December 07, 2008 8:53 PM RE: Article: What's the deal with juicing?/The Facts I realize there are people who teach these things, and you are surely free to believe whatever you wish to believe.
