Guest guest
You don't know my personal experiences. You are the one actually judging, NOT me! Two wrongs don't make a right! Regarding V.K.'s wife, clearly she didn't have a healthy lifestyle or else she would not have died from breast cancer! On Behalf Of SV Friday, October 31, 2008 3:01 AM Re: OT.Re: Life/Cheryl Until you have gone through an entire summer watching a person suffer, greatly, do not judge those who believe in this initiative. We just went through a summer such as this with my mother in law. She had a muscle degenerative disease and had lived with it for almost 30 years. We talked for hours about diet and lifestyle change, to no avail. Many years ago we (husband & I) were told in these exact words by my father in law " stop talking about changing our food, it upsets your mother. Do not bring up the subject ever again. " There you have it. She was an upbeat, positive woman but ate from a can. She lived far beyond the expectations of the medical community, but the end was gruesome and prolonged. She truly had no dignity whatsoever left at the end. They had tubes in and out of her in so many places they had started cutting her to add more. There were fluids backing up out of those tubes at the end and it was horrific for us as well as her. She begged to die, she begged us she begged God. And that was a good month before she actually passed. You cannot sit in judgement until you have sat at the bedside of a person with blood, bile, and excrement backing out of the orifices of their body unable to speak but crying and wanting out of this world. Just because she chose a different lifestyle than mine she is banned from leaving this world for the next plane? What about Viktoras Kulvinskas' wife? She passed from breast cancer and you can't tell me she didn't choose an alternative " healthy " lifestyle?! This is a moronic discussion about something so personal you cannot put it into words. If and when I want to die I know just how to do it and who to talk to about helping me with our without your " permission " . Shari
