Guest guest
Hi All, I personally have made the choice along with my raw food diet to not drink alcohol. Others choose to indulge. I have no judgement to peoples personal choices but I am an advocate of complete disclosure,,(especially to those who are vegan for animal rights reasons), to know what you are drinking. I am watching Planet Green, (my new favorite channel.) Our own Bill Nye ,the science guy has a new show called " Stuff Happens " He just did a segment on what is in wine. Here is a link I found with a quick google search of what he was talking about. An organic wine can be labeled organic if the grapes are grown organically but I beleive they can still have added ingredients such as 'fish bladders'.sugar, etc http://www.infonews.co.nz/news.cfm?l=1 & t=0 & id=28500 C

Isinglass, however, is just one animal byproduct used for beer and wine. Gelatin from cow and pig sinews, albumin from egg, and casein from milk are also used as fining mediums. The vegan alternative (equally effective) is bentonite clay. Doh
