Observations on Cleanses

Wow Nora, what a great desire you must have felt to discover truth!

I agree with everyone who reports that, upon doing one of these cleanses,

what came out looked much like what was described in the sales materials for

the cleanse. And then I ask, how could this output be so predictable?

Precisely because it is the output resulting from the input ... from the

cleanse itself.

So to those here who have posted and described such output, I believe every

one of you completely. My disagreement is not that this stuff frequently

comes out during a so-called " cleanse " , but rather with our perception of

what it comes FROM . Below Nora writes, " ...the descriptions we often hear

of mucoid plaque are a combination of imagination and misrepresentation of

what actually comes out after a typical " cleanse " . I agree completely.

Best to all,

Elchanan

Re: Observations on Cleanses

Hi Ron, I would echo what Elchanan wrote and only add an experience I had a

few years ago. I took a cadaver anatomy class for the primary reason of

seeing this so-called intestinal plaque with my own eyes. The subjects we

studied were two elderly people who had both died of various degenerative

diseases. They seemed to be good candidates for colon plaque, if such a

thing existed. However, when we finally got to their colons there was no

tarry, leathery-looking build-up attached to the interior walls. There was

only bare, grayish, puckered tissue.

Imo, the descriptions we often hear of mucoid plaque are a combination of

imagination and misrepresentation of what actually comes out after a typical

" cleanse " . They are intended to create a perceived need for the product

being sold. People like myself, Elchanan and others who tell the truth

about these things have nothing invested in whether what we say is accepted

or not, unlike the people who are selling these products.

This may constitute TMI (too much information :)) but I have had life-long

problems with constipation. If ever there was a sluggish, atrophied,

impacted colon, it was mine. Enemas were a regular feature of my teen years

and once in my early 20s I ended up in an emergency room because I went an

entire week without going to the bathroom. But after 8 years as a raw

fooder (the last 5 on mostly fruit), I have no complaints about how my colon

now functions. It is comfortable and effortless to eliminate. I've never

had a colonic and have never taken a " cleanse " .

The body cleanses itself. All you have to do is remove the source of

over-accumulating waste, and the body will do the rest.

Happy cleansing, :)

Nora
