Dining au naturel has universal appeal amid summer's bountiful harvests

Summer lends itself to life in the raw. Who wants to slave over a hot

stove when fresh, leafy greens, sun-ripened tomatoes and local berries

are at their peak?

 

But raw foodists don't need sultry weather to avoid cooking.

 

For them, the salad days of summer stretch all year long.
