More info on Mac Nuts

Hi All,

Sorry to send this to the whole group because it will only affect those who

want nuts but I want to get this info out and I don't have time to make a

list of only those who have ordered.

 

I received the first shipment yesterday and I'm sorry to say that the nuts

are not dry enough. Mac nuts have to be dried to about 12% moisture inside,

otherwise cracking is difficult and the nuts either break in shelling or

stick to the inside of the shell. I have asked the grower to dry them in

the sun for a couple more weeks. If she's agreeable, what this means is

that there will be a delay in delivery. I hope you all weren't in a hurry!

 

On a positive note, the nuts are very sweet, fresh and good. I ate 4 ounces

(a lot for me) yesterday afternoon and have none of the " nut hangover "

symptoms I sometimes experience when I eat nuts. They will be worth the

wait, no doubt.

 

I have all your info in the database so don't worry that I'll forget about

your order. I'll post more info when I have it.
