Hi Maggie,

Roger is a disciple of Dr. Graham and a man devoted to the hygienic approach

to healthful eating and living. His technical knowledge and understanding

are a bit thin, as his greatest interests and talents lie elsewhere, but I

agree, he has the principles down, a strong sense of commitment, and he is

a living testament to this way of life. Roger can indeed share wonderful

advice with RF newbies.

Hair

Regarding your hair, as you improve the quality of your diet and lifestyle,

your system will shed trillions of cells from every part of your body and

begin replacing them with new, healthier cells. In the case of hair loss,

you are dealing with a very low priority system (in contrast with your

heart, lungs, liver, etc.) So if you are patient, you will sprout a head of

hair to live for. Put nothing in or on it at all, have faith in your own

design, in your body's own capacity to cleanse, restore, and replenish

itself. It will!! :):)

Activity-related Pain

Regarding your pain, a couple of thoughts:

1. EVERY time you engage in physical activity, without fail, eat a large

meal consisting of ONE sweet fruit within an hour or so following the

activity. By sweet fruit, I mean bananas, figs, dates, very sweet grapes,

apricots, and the like. This may help a great deal.

2. EVERY time you engage in physical activity, take with you a simple,

homemade sports drink, as follows: 2 ripe (spotted) bananas, 1-2 ribs

celery, 1-2 quarts water, all blended together well. Drink periodically

throughout the activity.

These 2 steps will bring you amazing benefits, virtually overnight in all

likelihood. In addition:

3. Arrange your life so that EVERY time you engage in physical activity, you

give yourself adequate rest and recovery time opposite that activity. In

particular, make sure you are getting the quantity and quality of sleep you

need.

Take no supplements and use no additives of any kind, as dependency upon

these will actually block your body from developing and perfecting its own

capacity to respond. Instead, solve the actual, underlying problem ...

proper hydration, proper fueling, proper ingestion of electrolytes and other

micronutrients, proper balance of activity and rest/recovery.

Write back for more if any questions.

Best regards,

Elchanan

A list of common questions answered by Roger Haeske

I don't know how many are already d to this guys' newsletter or

what people know about him. This edition seems to be a good wrap up of many

common newbie raw foodist questions from a teleconference he did. I know

that awhile ago someone was asking for new information.

I also have two personal questions about dietary/holistic in general

questions:

1. My hair has phases of falling out. It seems to do so less when I eat

more protein/rich greens (not raw, even animal). But is there a raw food

nutrient/hair product I can give to my hair/body to stop this?

2. My joints hurt from overuse at exercise, dance etc. I'm trying to work

up so I can be on my feet all day but sometimes I have to stop my workouts

because the pain in my joints is so much. The only supplement people

recommend for this is fish oil.

Thank you!
